Stash, stitching and the start of the que(e)st(e)

The SAL I'm doing with Ines. I haven't gotten far, although i worked several evenings on it. But it is on such a high count, so it goes slowly. I plan to stitch the white and dividing colors first, so I can take it on vacation. It will be easy to stitch on it in the car, if I don't have to take the pattern all the time. The picture isn't good: for once this year there was too much sun:-)

I have been stitching also a lot on my summer exchange on Margaret Sherrys lovers blog. I can't,show it for the weeks,to come, but will post a picture of it when it arrives. I haven't finished it , but hope to do so next week.

New stash arrived this week:  threads and fabric I ordered at Nina. All these colors are so gorgeous.

I ordered these floss colors for another SAL, claire de la lune, at luna's blog. It's one I really look forward to stitch. As a matter of fact I start tomorrow with the moon! I am behind, cause of the past two weeks, and I don't want to miss this one. I'm stitching it on 32 count Twilight blue linen.

These colors I ordered for Halloween and autumn. 

Couldn't resist to order some fabric too! I really think Nina's fabric is wonderful to work with and the color vintage powder lilac is stunning.

Now if you made it this far: I promised to tell you why I choose the name dulcinella, but only if you tried to find out first. I've choosen the name for three reasons:  you're welcome to tell me your guesses. But please don't spoil it for others, so send yournanswers to my personal email at jacquelinebrelle@gmail.com. I will give a prize to the person who has the best answers, but I keep the prize secret just for now. But I promise : it will be worthwhile!

Nomen est omen, they say in Latin. Is that true for all my aliasses and e-mailadresses? 

 Eerst en vooral, vergeet zeker geen kijkje te nemen op Millys blog. Ze is zo'n geweldig iemand en ze doet dan ook een geweldige Giveaway op haar blog.

Zoals ik beloofd had, is hier een eerste update. Ik heb nog foto's te tonen, maar ik ga het niet allemaal in én mail zetten. 

De eerste foto toont Lulu, een SAL die ik met Ines doe. Ik ben nog niet zover, al heb ik er best wel wat avonden aan gewerkt. Maar 't is op 22 count, dus gaat het langzaam. Ik ben van plan eerst het wit en de onderscheidende kleuren te borduren. Dan kan ik ze meenemen en gemakkelijk op vakantie in de auto borduren, zonder er altijd een patroon bij te moeten nemen.

Ik heb ook heel veel geborduurd en nog andere dingen gedaan voor mijn zomeruitwisseling op de Margaret Sherry lovers blog. Dat kan ik dus de eerste weken niet tonen, maar ik zal zeker foto's tonen als het ter bestemming is. Ik ben nog niet helemaal klaar, maar hoop dat binnen een paar dagen wel te zijn.

Deze week arriveerde er ook nieuwe borduurspulletjes. Garen en linnen dat ik bij Nina bestelde. De kleuren zijn gewoon schitterend.

Op de eerste foto zien jullie de borduurkleuren die ik bestelde voor nog een andere SAL , Claire de Lune die ik doe op Luna's blog. Ik kijk er erg naar uit om deze te borduren. Morgen begin ik met de maan. Ik ben wel wat achterop door de laatste twee weken en ik wil deze niet missen. Ik borduur op 32 count Twilight blue linnen.

De andere kleuren die ik bestelde zijn vooral in het teken van Halloween en dingen voor de herfst . t' Is ook gewoon een plezier ernaar te kijken. Natuurlijk kon ik het linnen weer niet weerstaan. Ik vind Nina's linnen een genot op op te borduren en vooral het vintage powder lilac linnen is ongelofelijk mooi.

Nu jullie zover gekomen zijn: ik had beloofd te vertellen waarom ik de naam Dulcinella gekozen heb, maar alleen als jullie het eerst probeerden uit te vissen.Ik heb de naam om drie betekenissen gekozen: jullie mogen me allemaal jullie gissingen en antwoorden toesturen. Diegene die de beste antwoorden geeft krijgt een prijs, en die zal erg leuk zijn, maar ik houd nog even geheim wat het is.
